Valley covered in fog

I am a licensed social worker and I obtained my Master's Degree in Social Work from The University of Maryland Baltimore and have been practicing clinical social work for the duration of my career. As I advanced in my career, I specialized in treating mood disorders. Additionally, I have a background in treating trauma and OCD. The interventions I most commonly use are exposure response prevention, cognitive processing therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I enjoy working with clients looking to develop their skills around emotional dysregulation, distorted thinking patterns, life transitions, boundary work, codependency, and self-worth.

My clinical approach infuses evidence-based modalities with dynamic person-centered techniques to create individualized care. I aim to assist my clients in recognizing maladaptive coping skills and patterns in their lives that are inhibiting their overall functioning and well-being. I empower my clients to take action to create change in their lives that reflects the clinical work being done in sessions. Creating a space where clients feel seen and valued is paramount in the therapeutic relationship. As a therapist, I aim to teach my clients the skills needed to make decisions that support their goals and values.

A snippet about me is that in my spare time, you would find me playing with my mini bernedoodle, looking for the best local restaurants, or making ceramics. I am definitely a people person who enjoys spending time with my loved ones. My colleagues would describe me as "warm, approachable, and authentic with an ability to make people feel comfortable and understood."
