Elina Ackley

MS., CNS. LDN

I worked in conventional healthcare for 23 years and continue to do so in radiology. My journey in life and passion was always nutrition, so I ventured on my own to seek its knowledge and graduated from Maryland University of Integrative (MUIH) Master’s in Science and Integrative Health program. During my internship at MUIH, I worked with Joy Wellness in Baltimore, MD, and the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center in Catonsville. I enjoyed both internships but the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center in Catonsville encouraged teaching, cooking classes for brain health,  and collaborating with a wonderful knowledgeable staff on mental health challenges.  Afterward, I became a  practitioner at the Natural Care Center with MUIH for a year and gained a strong foundation by learning about various nutritional needs and building a wonderful network of connections in my field.

My passion is people and their well-being, so I come to you with an open mind and the knowledge to guide you to where you need my expert advice in that moment of life today. Food is the source of nutrients but it also allows for many biochemical pathways that happen in our body to work effectively.   Cellular health in our bodies is impacted by the environment, emotions, food, lifestyle, physical exercise, sleep, stress, and many other factors that offset the balance.   Let me help you find the pieces in the puzzle of your nutritional health and work together to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I am nestled in a small town with my husband, three kids, and my dog. I am a veteran of the US Navy and very proud of my service.   I enjoy researching scientific data and learning about updated information in the nutrition world. I love traveling, soccer, reading, music, and cooking.
